Poems

A Poem

Page to page

Is a flip away

From a mistake

But a Poem that scrolls

Becomes a story

Told completely in your control

The phone is a reflection

As time passes on

No matter the struggles

Keep on keepin' on

Poems

A hug from the inside

Came over today

That's what cures the sameness

In everyday

A cloudy sky

A dreary day

So easy to pop on the stove

And walk away

A forgotten meal

By those who matter most

The mom who made the sky

And the holy ghost

I float like a butterfly

But stand like a tree

No matter the weather

I will always be

Planted with both my feet.

When it's time to fall

I just shed my leaves

Bare and numb

I stand

Relaxed and at ease.

That first kiss of rain

Signals it's time to change

I spread my twigs to make room

For the new life I can give.

Ooh yah, everything's alright.

Ah, here I am again

The summer breeze

That cools the sweat

Dripping off my leaves

From the morning dew,

Of my fellow trees.

She was as nice

As an ice cold beer

The loudest bark

You ever did hear

With fur as black

As the crisp night air

Critters and robbers

Beware

She stood at the window

Guarding her fam

Barking to let everyone know

She would fight to the end

One day her master walked in his house

With ol' Stella by his side

Her hair stood straight up

On the back of her hide

She knew something wasn't right

With only a sniff of her nose

She charged up the stairs

And ran that burglar out

Turning him as white as a ghost

Half German

Half lab

She was a shepherd at heart

Taking care of her family

Was her favorite part

Goodbye good girl

We'll see you someday

Now take a load off in heaven

While you forever watch us play
